I'm off this week, and looking to meet up at the TOD. I'm going to head up early in the morning, as it looks like a 3+ hour ride from my place. If you're interested in meeting along the way, that would be pretty f@#king awesome. I'm coming from Concord, so if you want to link up, send me a PM and I'll give you my number.

Anyone going to be in the area for a dragon ride! I will be coming down form South Central PA with a few friends for a weekend of riding. Is there anyone in the area that is looking for an excuse to slay the dragon? This will only be my second trip down but I am stoked to get back in the area. I need to get a new picture with my new bike!

I apologise if posting other forums is against the rules. My intention is not to pull traffic away from this site, as the forum I'm mentioning isn't FZ07-specific, but is region specific. It's a long shot, but is anyone here a member? It seems to have once been a popular site, but now it's full of "Is this forum dying?" posts, and I found out why. Their registration page uses a discontinued captcha, which makes it impossible to register, and there's no contact information to let anyone know that this is the case. I tried emailing [email protected], and the email address in their "support this website" thread, which is tampasportbi@tampaspor…

Anyone in those areas, maybe we could plan a meet up or something just cruise some backroads

I am trying to get a couple of fellow FZ07 riders to join me on the Tail of the Dragon. I would prefer not to attempt this alone and figure some people might be itching to give it a shot.

I'm curious if there are any members out there from the title tri-state area. I'm in NWA and I'm sure I cannot be the only one riding an FZ-07 around here!
-
Really thought there was a thread for this already, I posted on one awhile ago. Maybe it was an old one that became a region specific thread..? IDK, Anyway here is one for VA. August 1, 2017 maybe 1845ish(6:45) Yates Ford Rd by the Buckhall Fire Dept.

Guys and Gals, it seems some lowlife has decided to go after my fz last night between 3 am and 10am. I came home at 3am. It was parked in the Smyrna area, the lowlifes tried to break into the ignition to pop the steering wheel lock and get the key to turn. They failed, key still works, but they did pop off the cover for around the ignition switch which I have to replace. Luckily I had my Xena 15 on the front and I think thats what scared them away because it would keep going off as they messed with the top and they wouldn't be able to ride off like they were attempting to do expensive lock but just payed for itself. From now own its chained to a wall with the wall anchor …

Are there any riders is central Mississippi. Just see who is out there.

This is a semi-regular Sunday motorcycle gathering in historic Clifton VA for coffee, breakfast and general BSing. Rides often head out from there. The last gathering on 3/13 had 43 motorcycles. The next one is on 4/10. I'm new to this event but from what I hear is that it gets upward to 300 bikes in prime season. I'm planning to be there on 4/10 even though it's going to be cold. The same group also has an event in Palisades NY which is on the website too. Here the website: http://www.bikesandbreakfast.com/

Heads-up for the Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC folks!!! This weekend 1/6-8 is when the big Progressive Motorcycle Show is at the Convention Center in Washington DC. Any FZ-07 riders planning to attend Rolling Thunder this year? The jury is still out for me. I have never ridden Rolling Thunder before, but I live only 7 miles from the Pentagon which is the staging area for the beginning of the ride. Not sure yet, but I might do it this year. A lot will depend on the weather. I have had a bunch of friends over the years ride it, and they all say it is a lot like New Years Eve in NYC as a must-do event once in your life. I will have to give my bike a bath though. Gotta have that blurple looking good for all the "Cool Bike Dude" comments 8-)

I'm in Mobile Alabama. I frequently make trips as far West as Biloxi or as far East as Pensacola. And a bit further some weekends. Wondering if there were any others in the area interested in meeting up for a ride?

Hey guys, trying this again this year. Planning a group ride for Sunday May 22 2016 (tentative, may change based on rider input) We'll start in Gainesville, shoot down 211, over the twisties in the mountains, to 340 then shoot up Fort Valley Road to Front Royal, grab food at the Apple house or the melting pot (local pizza place, not the chain ) and then back out to Gainesville or just disperse there. Im not trying to keep it FZ-07s only, so anyone is welcome. shooting for at least 10 riders. This is the route im proposing: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/1/edit?mid=z5ngE6tGJf3I.kER9TgqQlmm8 I know some of you complained about so much highway when i tried…

Taken from an email: Final Virginia Motorcycle Legislative Update February 24, 2015 For our purposes, we are now through the legislative session. Both HB 1700 and SB 836 have passed both chambers of the General Assembly and are on their way to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law. Both bills will become law as of July 1st of this year. Let’s re-cap what each of these bills mean to Virginia motorcyclists. HB 1700 started out as a bill with two purposes. The first was to allow the LED type of auxiliary lighting on motorcycles in order to improve side visibility. The second was to eliminate the five second limitation that a motorcycle brake light …

Since I figure the best way to find cool things in other places is to ask the locals, I figure this might be a good place to post this. Long story short, I've been planning to take my FZ cross country starting in about a month, leaving from los angeles, and turning around in the Florida keys. I want to stay a bit south for a lot of it to make sure I avoid any snow that might still be lingering from winter (which, it sounds like there's a lot of that this year), but, while I have a decent set of must visit places so far between here and texas, I'm not seeing a whole lot in the georgia/mississippi/alabama/louisiana type areas. Anyone from that side of the country…

After a year or so hiatus, bike nights are back in business starting January 2016. The meets will be held at the brand new Andretti Speed Lab in Marietta. These will be held every Thursday and are a ton of fun. Discounts will be given for karts and bowling, and Huey may give instructional sessions on various road racing subjects. More details to come, check out their Facebook page for up to date info: https://www.facebook.com/events/1701311750113426/

Tried to get a meetup for Bikeweek, but we were still to few in numbers. Hoping we can get some of us together this year in Daytona. I'll be there on the 18th!

Anyone planning on attending this? https://www.facebook.com/events/1499684296990411/1502882166670624/ Looks like over 1000 bikes, the escort will be done by police departments, and the route lined with people supporting.

This link has all the pertinents. "The three-day festival features a swap meet with hundreds of vendors selling vintage motorcycles and parts, on-track racing, bike shows, stunt shows, the 2nd Annual Picker of the Year Award, and much more! The Barber Museum offers extended hours during Vintage Festival, along with special displays and seminars." http://www.barbermuseum.org/events/barber-vintage-festival/ Anyone have this event on their radar? I'm seriously contemplating a little road trip. So if anyone wants to check it out, let me know! Coming from Va, I'd spend 2 days traveling in each direction. 1 day would be really rough and long.
